Chinese Ambassador to Uganda Wu Guangrong Visits and Extends Warm Regards to the Chinese Medical Team to Uganda

On 17 August, Ambassador Wu Guangrong visited the 25th Chinese Medical Team to Uganda at the team’s premises, accompanied by Counsellor Wang Jianxun. Ambassador Wu inspected the team’s facilities, inquired about their work and living conditions, and learned about the progress of the expansion and renovation project of the China-Uganda Friendship Hospital.

Ambassador Wu extended his warm greetings to all members of the medical team, noting that the experts had answered the call of duty, traveled across mountains and seas, served with professionalism and distinction, and achieved remarkable results. He encouraged them to carry forward the spirit of Chinese medical teams—fearlessness in the face of hardship, selfless dedication, commitment to saving lives and healing the wounded, and boundless love and compassion—and, with their outstanding medical expertise and high professional ethics, make new and greater contributions to enhancing the health and well-being of the Ugandan people, further consolidating and strengthening the traditional friendship between China and Uganda, and promoting the building of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
